Bernie Sanders: The group Vancouver for Bernie is hosting a potluck with music, activities and speakers to show support for their candidate. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the ILWU Local 4 union hall, 1205 Ingalls St. in Vancouver. Donations of nonperishable food items will be accepted for local food banks. Those who attend are encouraged to bring a dish to share and their own place settings.
Democratic candidates: Two Democratic candidates will speak from 10 a.m. to noon April 30 at the La Center Grange, 328 W. Fifth St. in La Center. David McDevitt is running for the 3rd Congressional District office held by Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas. Roman Battan is running for Republican Clark County Councilor Tom Mielke’s District 4 seat.
