Prep highlights: Jenkins leads Ridgefield softball to victory

Sarah Jenkins went 2 for 5 with a double and two runs scored, and she threw a two-hit shutout as the Ridgefield softball team beat Mark Morris 7-0 on Tuesday.

Jenkins struck out 11 and walked four in the win.

Emma Jenkins went 4 for 4 with a double and two RBI, while Karli Oliver was 3 for 5 with two runs, a triple and an RBI for the Spudders.

Jenna Mayer was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.

Stars of the day

• Anna Aguon, Union softball, had three hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs in a win over Heritage.

• Emma Klundt and Andrea Hoey, Columbia River softball, combined to strike out 16 in a 3A GSHL shutout.

• Nick Pulicella, King’s Way Christian baseball, went 3 for 5 with a double, run and RBI in a doubleheader sweep for the Knights over Castle Rock.

• Garrett McKee, Columbia River baseball, went 2 for 2 with double, triple, run, and three RBI as Columbia River beat Fort Vancouver.

• Abby England, La Center softball, struck out 16 and hit a home run in first game of a doublheader sweep over Kalama.

• Cody Laxson, Union boys track and field, won both the long jump and triple jump as Union beat Battle Ground and Evergreen.

• Adam Ryan, Camas boys track and field, won the 200 and 400 as Camas beat Mountain View but lost to Skyview.

• Madison Lord, Skyview girls track and field, won the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles and high jump as Skyview beat Mountain View but lost to Camas.

• Nathaniel Van Soest, La Center baseball, had a home run, a double and 4 RBI as the Wildcats spits a doubleheader with Kalama.

• Dylan Colf, King’s Way Christian soccer, scored two goals in a 4-1 win over Castle Rock.

• Andrew Williams, Ridgefield soccer, scored three goals in a win over Washougal.
