With the local election, I was quite taken aback at how many people in my statistical age group (18-24) are either not registered to vote or did not take time to look at the pamphlets with information on the candidates that are running for Washington State Legislature positions.
I urge those who are eligible to vote and registered to take a few minutes out of your day and look at the stances of candidates on certain local issues.
Even though you are looked at as someone who is young and “inexperienced” your voice still matters because these laws, bills and regulations that the legislators discuss and vote on affect you and your local community.
If you are not registered, please visit www.sos.wa.gov/elections/myvote/olvr.html for a quick way to get registered before the presidential election arrives.
Your voice matters, so let it be heard.
