Letter: Clark County government is a circus

The new circus of Madore & Mielke continues to provide us with drama and comedy far exceeding the funniest of Barnum & Bailey. David Madore, as the ringmaster with his clown, Tom Mielke, is giving us all a lesson in stupidity.

Happily, one of those lessons was rejected by the sound judgment of Cowlitz County Superior Court Judge Stephen Warning.

I speak of the recent fiasco of the minion Mielke. Mielke, who after escaping his cage, attempted to attack the integrity of a trio of fellow performers, Council Chair Marc Boldt with councilors Julie Olson and Jeanne Stewart.

These three intelligent performers won the onslaught.

Sadly, the new circus will be losing the older minion who will not be part of the ringmaster’s duo. The ringmaster? Is it possible that he will be returning as a one-act performer, or taking his act to another Washington to perform on the national stage? Only God knows.
