I guess I might be known as a disgruntled senior. Going through public tax records, I noticed that the manufactured home park I’ve live in for the last three years has had a tax value of $4,867,700, with no changes. My taxes, however, have gone from $738 in 2007, to $1,572 now. We received a notice of $25 increase per month for rent as soon as new owners took over ownership. I was told it is based on the taxes and insurance. Well, let’s see — no new taxes in three years (except for those of us living here). We received no cost-of-living raise due to lower oil and gas, and now it’s up to $2.59 in places. We may get a raise of $2 if we’re lucky.
