CANBY, Ore. — Authorities say an 11-year-old boy drowned in the Molalla River.
Deputy Hayden Sanders of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office says callers at a Canby park reported the boy was found underwater Sunday. Medics couldn’t revive the boy and he died at the scene.
Sanders says the boy did not know how to swim. He was playing in the water with his family nearby.
