People in Business
Identity Clark County, a business advocacy organization, has appointed three Clark County individuals to its staff:
• Ron Arp of Brush Prairie, a business communications professional, is president of the organization, having held the interim role since the organization’s loss of John McKibbin in a March airplane crash. Arp has worked with the ICC since 2008 and brings 30 years of strategy and communications experience to the organization, having been a senior vice president of communications and investor relations for Vancouver-based Nautilus Inc., serving on the Hockinson school board, and as a senior partner of the firm FleishmanHillard.
• Jim Mains will be vice president. He holds ICC’s honorary Ed Lynch board seat and is active in the political and community scene, co-hosting the “Hello Vancouver” variety show and serving as an elected Clark County freeholder. He operates Main Distinction, a local marketing and campaign firm.
• Sean Philbrook of Vancouver, a recent graduate and student government leader at WSU Vancouver, will be program manager. He has served as a summer intern through Amplify Group supporting the ICC-hosted Learn Here project, which celebrated the region’s quality education.
