You Can Help

The Clark County Food Bank needs volunteers to help feed hungry Clark County residents. The greatest needs are for:

• Food collectors to drive or ride on weekday mornings in a 20-foot box truck to Clark County grocery stores, filling out donation slips and lifting 40- to 50-pound boxes. A commercial driver’s license license is not required.

• Food sorters to work one or more shift, 10 a.m. to noon weekdays, in a refrigerated room.

• Vancouver Farmers Market produce collectors to operate the booth at the market and help collect excess produce from local growers and market vendors.

Training is provided. Information: 360-693-0939 or volunteer@clarkcountyfoodbank.org

NatureScaping of Southwest Washington has garden work parties through the fall, 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday, and on Tuesdays by appointment at Wildlife Botanical Gardens in Brush Prairie. Other workdays may be arranged. Volunteers help with basic gardening chores; no experience is necessary.
