Holiday parade, tree lighting on Thursday

Washougal – The city and Downtown Washougal Association’s annual Lighted Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday along Main Street. The parade will end at Reflection Plaza, 1703 Main St., Washougal, where the tree will be lit at 6:30 p.m.

Awards will be given for Best Use of Lights, Best Use of Music and Santa’s Choice, with parade entries representing local clubs, businesses and organizations.

There will be complimentary cookies and coffee, and entertainment will include the Washougal High School X-Tet Chorus and the school’s band. Santa Claus will be available before and after the parade for free printed photos for kids of all ages, courtesy of Riverview Community Bank and Windows on Life Photography of Camas.
