The cast of Disney’s upcoming “DuckTales” reboot has been announced.
David Tennant, Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, Bobby Moynihan, Beck Bennett, Toks Olagundoye and Kate Micucci were assembled for a video reveal with the stars of the new series singing the fan-favorite “DuckTales” theme song.
Tennant (“Doctor Who,” “Marvel’s Jessica Jones”) will voice Scrooge McDuck, the super-wealthy, rough and gruff businessduck and adventurer (who speaks with a Scottish accent) whose hobbies including taking a swim in his vault of money.
Scrooge’s mischievous triplet grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie will be voiced by Pudi (“Community”), Schwartz (“Parks and Recreation,” “House of Cards”) and Moynihan (“Saturday Night Live,” “We Bare Bears”), respectively.
Bennett (“Saturday Night Live”) has been tapped to voice Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge’s pilot, who in the original series was not always the best when it came to landing planes, while Olagundoye (“The Neighbors,” “Castle”) will play Mrs. Beakley, Scrooge’s maid and a nanny of sorts to Huey, Dewey and Louie.
