Boys basketball: Mark Morris 59, Washougal 49

The Panthers recovered from a slow start on the road, but Mark Morris made 14 of 17 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the 2A GSHL win.

Washougal entered the fourth quarter up 38-36 after being down much of the game.

“We missed some shots we had been making, and they scored in transition,” Washougal coach Malcolm Estes said.

Collin Prangley led the Panthers in scoring with 11 points, and Josh Bischoff had 10.

Mark Morris’ Will Burghardt lead all scorers with 23 points.

Washougal now needs to beat Ridgefield on Monday to make the 2A district playoffs.
