A lottery to sell fireworks in Clark County kicks off next week, and applications are due soon.

The county Fire Marshal’s Office will assign “at least four” retail fireworks permits via the Feb. 12 lottery, according to a county press release.

Applications for the lottery can be obtained at the Fire Marshal’s Office at 505 N.W. 179th St. in Ridgefield or online at clark.wa.gov/community-development/fireworks.

All applications must be received by 5 p.m. Wednesday. Only one per person or organization is allowed.

Fireworks can only be sold with a permit and during certain windows around July 4 and Dec. 31.
