The Health Systems Quality Assurance Division of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.

In September, the Medical Commission approved an agreed order modifying a 2012 agreement with physician Patrick K. Chau, amending his oversight status and practice plan. Chau remains restricted from the practice of forensic medicine and providing evaluations for court-related proceedings.

In August, the Nursing Commission reinstated the registered nurse credential of Shannon Leigh LaTendresse and ordered her to continue participating in a substance abuse monitoring program.

In September, the Nursing Assistant Program charged registered nursing assistant Allicen Lorraine Murray with unprofessional conduct. While working for an in-home care agency, Murray allegedly took gift certificates belonging to two vulnerable adult patients.
