The death of Robert “LaVoy” Finicum is, without question, a tragedy. But ask yourself this: If Finicum had successfully drawn his weapon and killed one or more law enforcement officers, would it have been any less of a loss for his (or her) family and friends?
This whole sad episode was triggered by a small group of government haters, armed to the teeth, who occupied the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon with blatant disregard for the laws the rest of us must live by.
