Letter: Less information is not convincing

By Larry Campbell, Vancouver

My wife and I are senior citizens living in the Evergreen Public Schools district and we voted “no” on the school ballot. Our education and business experience has always taught us that in sending and receiving communications you are always observant of the Who, What, Where, When and Why.

The Why was left out. Just four lines listing the new rate per $1,000 does not tell us the current rate, why they need more money and what it will be used for. Be above board and we will always support education first.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
