Girls basketball: Centralia 55, Woodland 37

Alyx Fast scored 19 points and her sister Maddie added 14 in a barrage of 3-pointers at Mark Morris High School in Longview as the Tigers eliminated the Beavers from the Class 2A district tournament.

The game was tied at 10 after a quarter of play before Centralia (13-9) built a 26-18 halftime lead as Alyx Fast made four 3s in the period and Maddie Fast another.

“In the third quarter, we reeled them back in and tied it up, then Maddie Fast hit two more 3s and another 2 to stretch it back out,” Woodland coach Glen Flanagan said.

Dana Glovick had 14 points and six rebounds for Woodland. McKenna Flanagan had six points and five steals, Audrey Adams had nine rebounds and five points, and Jessica Flanagan had six points and six rebounds.

CENTRALIA 55, WOODLAND 37
