Cascade Southwest — The Community Energy Community Fund awarded the Assistance League of Southwest Washington a $2,100 grant to aid children in Clark County. The grant is designated to provide 140 elementary school children with clothing and school supplies in the Vancouver, Evergreen, Washougal and Woodland school districts. Assistance League President Peg Steimeyer said in a press release that the grant “will provide a big boost to helping us reach even more at-risk children.” The Assistance League of Southwest Washington, established in Vancouver in 1935, looks to affect positive change through philanthropic programs that meet the needs of children and families.
