Winter rainfall record set at Portland International Airport

PORTLAND — Portland International Airport is experiencing its wettest winter on record at more than 25 inches and counting.

The Oregonian reports that data from the National Weather Service counts winter rain from Dec. 11 through February. Normal rainfall at the airport during that period is a little more than 14 inches.

Rain almost set records in Vancouver, downtown Portland and Hillsboro.
