Letter: Incident lingered with mishandling

A judge issued arrest warrants for the persons occupying the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. When the FBI tried to serve the warrants and arrest the last four persons at Malheur, they refused to leave and it was feared they would shoot any persons who tried to arrest them.

The incredibly stupid and incompetent FBI had wasted many weeks and much money for doing absolutely nothing. They should have brought in some fire trucks and used water cannons that would have knocked people down and made their guns useless.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
