BREMERTON — Kitsap County authorities say another man has been arrested in connection with the disappearance and robbery of an 89-year-old Silverdale man.

KIRO-TV reports 47-year-old Arnold Cruz was arrested Friday morning and booked into the Kitsap County Jail.

His arrest is the eighth connected with the disappearance of Robert Archie Hood on Dec. 17. The sheriff’s office is searching for relatives of an elderly man found in a container Wednesday behind a home in north Mason County. They believe the body is related to Hood’s disappearance.

Cruz has been charged with rendering criminal assistance. His bond is set at $500,000 and he is due to appear in court on Monday.
