The Papermakers rebounded from a slow start with a 17-3 advantage in the second quarter.

“We came out and played well in the first quarter,” Battle Ground coach Lisa May said. “Then they just started to whittle away at our confidence. I think they were a bit surprised after the first quarter, but then they responded and we didn’t answer the call.”

Emma Jones had 14 points to lead a balanced scoring attack for the Papermakers. Kyle Smith paced the Tigers with 24 points.

“We just need to trust each other more and look for other opportunities to score,” May said.
