Walnut Grove — For about two hours on Dec. 11, The Crush Bar in Portland saw a cat-themed extravaganza take over, as 14 artists took to the stage for cat-related performances. The event — titled “Faster, Pussy Cat! THRILL! THRILL!” — included performances by burlesque dancers, singers, comedians and belly dancers. It raised $240 for the Furry Friends building fund. The Vancouver-based no-kill cat shelter is looking for a new building to house kitties by September.
