The visiting Thunder pulled away from a 38-38 tie to win the 4A Greater St. Helens League game.

One of Mountain View’s five 3-pointers broke the tie and the Thunder made 7 of 9 foul shots in the fourth quarter to hold onto the lead.

“They stepped up and played well late in the game. Our youth showed down the stretch,” Evergreen coach Jay Foreman said.

Emilly Moore scored 14 points and Hailey Hartney had 13 for the Thunder (8-3, 2-1).

Ahna Burney scored 22 points for the Plainsmen (4-6, 1-2).
