I attended the one-day art opening at the North Bank Gallery, which was given by state Reps. Liz Pike, R-Camas, and Sharon Wylie, D-Vancouver. These two incredibly talented legislators donated their art pieces, which were sold to support the Winter Hospitality Overflow program for homeless shelters in Clark County.
How delightful to see these two women joining hands to promote art, as well as joining hands across the aisle in our great state of Washington at this time.
Hopefully, they will have another opening and some other artists/politicians might join them as well. I understand we could invite our governor to join them in Clark County to display his watercolors as well. I request we have the next legislative art opening in Camas.
Hooray for art and gratitude for all the many other talented artists in Clark County. (In this case, I am referring to fine art but remember that “the arts” encompass numerous other categories as well.)
