MEDFORD, Ore. — Television host Mike Rowe says he was in Kansas on Monday, something he recently felt compelled to share as Oregon fans noticed he had a striking resemblance to a bank robbery suspect.
The Mail Tribune reports that Medford police shared surveillance photos of a bank robbery suspect on social media, leading many people to comment that the photo looked a lot like the “Dirty Jobs” host.
On Wednesday, Rowe told the newspaper that he found the whole situation funny. He agreed the surveillance photos did appear to capture his doppelganger. To put rumors to rest, Rowe posted on Facebook to clear his name.
The Rowe lookalike is accused of demanding cash from a Chase Bank branch on Monday. Police are still looking for the real suspect.
