Letter: Stewart’s decision process lacking

By Richard A. Rowe, Vancouver

At the Jan. 5 Clark County council meeting, Councilor Jeannie Stewart sure surprised me to readily want to rescind everything. This means she wants to hear all that testimony from people and organizations again and this could extend to next election time.

I wonder if she knew what she voted for? I have recently watched her on transportation meetings and after discussions on an item and ready to vote, she will say “what are we voting on?” and then many times she will neither vote “yes” or “no”?

I thought Stewart used to believe in advisory votes of the people but at this meeting she shows she doesn’t. She is kind of getting more like Vancouver City Councilor Jack Burkman.
