Land-use review

The following are local land-use proposals. Clark County or one of its cities may rate them in three categories: nonsignificant, no environmental impact study needed; nonsignificant, provided proponents meet certain conditions; and significant, requiring an environmental impact study.

City of Washougal

EXCELSIOR HIGH SCHOOL: LSW Architects seeks approval to demolish the existing Excelsior High School and to build an 11,024-square-foot building and parking facility at 1401 39th St. Environmental impact rating: nonsignificant. Comment deadline: Jan. 15.

SCHOOL BUS MAINTENANCE FACILITY: Washougal School District seeks approval to build a 5,687-square-foot metal building with a 1,017-square-foot mezzanine to house a school bus maintenance shop, dispatch office and storage on 4.96 vacant acres north of its administrative offices at 4855 Evergreen Way. The proposal includes a parking lot with 36 spaces for buses, and 36 spaces for employees and visitors accessible by a new driveway from Southeast Sunset View Road. Environmental impact rating: nonsignificant. Comment deadline: Jan. 15.
