Girls basketball: Heritage 29, Mountain View 28

Vanessa Brown’s put-back basket with 15 seconds left lifted the Timberwolves past the host Thunder (10-5, 4-3) in a Class 4A Greater St. Helens League contest.

The game was tight throughout, with Heritage outscoring Mountain View 9-6 in the fourth quarter to earn the win.

Mountain View coach Mat Clark said Heritage played a strong defensive game as the Timberwolves (6-9, 1-6) earned their first league win of the season.
