Letter: Mystified at leeway given occupiers

By James S. Roberts, Vancouver

Is it just me or are there others out there who wonder why individuals protesting in our streets over the shootings by police of black-skinned men are met with tear gas, bullets and clubs while armed white supremacist thugs who have illegally taken over our government’s property are treated with kid gloves and given extensive media coverage even though they have terrified almost a whole town?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
