The Panthers’ press set the tone early as Washougal maintained a share of first place in the Class 2A Greater St. Helens League.

RaeAnn Allen scored 18 points, Beyonce Bea 16 and Alyssa Blankenship 13 for the visiting Panthers (12-3, 6-1). Blankenship passed the 1,000-point mark for her career in the game, and also had seven rebounds, three steals and three assists.

Bea added 10 rebounds for a double-double. Allen had six rebounds and four steals.

Washougal coach Brian Oberg said his entire team had a strong defensive effort.
