Letter: Reporting is invaluable asset

Thank you for your continuing coverage of the M&M councilors. I believe their antics have national resonance, especially considering the current frontrunners for the Republican nomination for president. In fact, on different occasions I’ve contacted the New York Times to have this story go national, to no avail.

When I moved here almost 20 years ago from New York, I questioned the need for a newspaper that had a lot of “fireman saves cat” and “sex pervert” stories. But I was wrong. The Columbian is an invaluable asset for this community.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
