LONGVIEW — A historic hotel’s owner will be sentenced for intimidating the judge who was involved in his DUI case.
The Daily News reported that the prosecution argued 51-year-old Phil Lovingfoss was drunk but coherent when he called police almost a year ago and threatened Judge Ed Putka.
Police say Lovingfoss told dispatchers that he would take his 35-carat diamond ring and backhand Putka, among other threats.
Defense attorney Jim Morgan brought in two psychologists to testify and argued Lovingfoss had a mental disorder.
