Letter: Narcissism disqualifies Trump

By David C. Schroeder, Vancouver

Would you agree that how we use the pronouns “I” and “me” speak volumes about the real me? Within hours of the Orlando, Fla., massacre, all Donald Trump could say was “I said this was going to happen.” With that “I told you so” reaction, what does that tell us about the real him? His statement was not only incredibly insensitive, but unthinkable for any sympathetic human being. His statement was so self-serving as to disqualify him from serving as president of these United States.

An official of the United Nations shared recently that he is scared to death thinking Trump’s finger might be on the nuclear button. Might the future of humanity, not just the future of our democracy, hang in the balance in the upcoming election?
