Letter: Support Topper to represent us

By Stacey Graham, Vancouver
Published: July 6, 2016, 6:00am

Vancouver is often overlooked by the Legislature in Olympia. Whether funding transportation projects or mental health programs, we need our fair share. That’s why we need leadership and a champion representing the 49th Legislative District. Alishia Topper knows how to solve problems: She does the research, engages experts, checks out what other cities are doing, and actively listens to constituents’ needs, then takes action. Who was there at the start of solving the affordable housing crisis? Alishia Topper.

She is a powerful presence, working “across the aisle” because that gets things done. The 49th deserves this dynamic leader as our state representative, position 2.

Together, let’s elect Alishia Topper.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
