EUGENE — Organizers of the ongoing U.S. Olympic Track & Field Olympic Trials in Eugene say a section of temporary bleachers are fine after spectators noticed them swaying in the wind.

The Register-Guard reports that Eugene-based TrackTown USA inspected the bleachers at Hayward Field after multiple spectators mentioned they seemed unstable and asked to be reseated or left the event.

Temporary bleachers are used to boost Hayward Field’s capacity from more than 10,500 people to about 22,000.

Eugene’s building department reviewed and approved the engineering plan for the bleachers and the city inspected the setup and issued a permit for the bleachers.
