MCMINNVILLE, Ore. — A federal bankruptcy judge has approved the sale of two buildings at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum property in McMinnville to a group of investors led by Utah businessman Steve Down.

The sale includes the space hall and the water park. Both are owned by the nonprofit Michael King Smith Foundation, which has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The newspaper reports that issues remain regarding to the museum’s aviation hall and theater building, which are owned by businessman George Schott.

Museum attorney Justin Leonard told the court Schott is unwilling to voluntarily provide easements that would provide Down with access. But Leonard says he’s confident the issues will be resolved.
