PORTLAND — Police have identified an intruder shot and killed during a home-invasion robbery as 30-year-old Anthony Lazarides.

Sgt. Pete Simpson says the homeowner who fired the shot Thursday morning is a 45-year-old man whose name isn’t being released for safety reasons. He suffered a gunshot wound to a hand during the incident.

Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying associates of Lazarides that may have been involved. Police believe other suspects entered the southeast Portland home, but fled when the gunfire erupted.
