Fall City – A 28-year-old driver has been cited for causing a collision after telling police he was distracted by the “Pokemon Go” app.

The Washington State Patrol said a man was driving east on Highway 202 in Fall City on Monday when he hit the back of a Chevrolet sedan.

The woman driving the Chevy had stopped and was trying to make a left turn when her car was hit. Officials say the woman and her young son were not injured, but both cars were towed from the scene. It wasn’t clear whether the man was injured.

The man reportedly told authorities he was distracted by the smartphone app. State Patrol officials say it’s the first “Pokemon Go”-related crash they’ve documented.
