Fire destroys fifth-wheel trailer

Crews from Clark County Fire & Rescue were called to 104 N.W. Polar Drive at about 2:45 a.m. for what was first reported as an outdoor fire, agency spokesman Tim Dawdy said.

When firefighters arrived, they found a fifth-wheel trailer engulfed in flames, he said. Crews navigated the narrow road along the Lewis River and used water supplied by a water tanker to fight the fire, Dawdy said.

They brought the flames under control in about 15 minutes, he said, but the vehicle was a complete loss.

The agency was assisted by Clark County Fire District 10.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office.
