1. Camas shines

Camas Days brings out all kinds of community pride this weekend. Taking a bit of inspiration from “Grease” with this year’s theme, “Summer Days and Nights,” downtown Camas will transform Northeast Fourth Avenue and adjacent streets into venues for arts and crafts, live music, food vendors and children’s activities from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. July 22 and July 23. The microbrew street, “A Toast of Camas,” will be open 5 to 11 p.m. both days for those 21 and older, featuring live music by the Wise Guys and Beth Willis Band, with $5 for entry.

There will be two parades, with the Kids Parade taking place at noon July 22, and the Grand Parade starting at 11 a.m. July 23, followed by the bathtub races at 1 p.m. July 23. There will also be the annual ducky derby raffle held by the Camas-Washougal Rotary, at noon July 24 from the Third Avenue Bridge. 2. Music fest for all

PDX Pop Now! is an annual music festival which celebrates the local music scene with three days of performances, open to all ages. A diverse group of more than 40 local bands and musicians will perform on two outdoor stages from 6 p.m. to midnight July 22, noon to midnight July 23 and noon to 9:30 p.m. July 24. There will also be a street fair, record fair and a band versus band basketball tournament. There will also be a beer garden onsite, with proceeds benefiting the festival at Audiocinema, 226 S.E. 3. Outdoor movies

Grab a lawn chair or blanket and pick a free movie to enjoy at several events this week. Movie fans can head to Fruit Valley Park, 3200 Fruit Valley Road, Vancouver, at 7 p.m. July 22 for a screening of “Tomorrowland,” rated PG.

Pioneer Courthouse Square, 701 S.W. Sixth Ave., Portland, will kick off its Flicks on the Bricks with “Big (1988),” rated PG, at 7 p.m. July 22. thesquarepdx.org/flicks-on-the-bricks

And the city of Ridgefield will bring the popcorn and refreshments for its movie screening of “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day,” rated PG, at 7:30 p.m. July 26 in Davis Park, Main Avenue and Mill Street, Ridgefield. 360-887-3557 or www.ci.ridgefield.wa.us/events

4. Sunday concerts

Award-winning soul, blues and R&B musician Curtis Salgado will perform with his band for the Sunday Sounds concert series. Salgado is a vocalist, songwriter and harmonica player who has recorded nine albums, and he has toured the country with Steve Miller and Santana. Bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs for the concert which will run 6 to 8 p.m. July 24 at Columbia Tech Center Park, 17701 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver. Bethany Vineyards and Winery will feature Heart by Heart, a spin-off band, for its Music on the Vines series. The group includes Heart’s co-founding member and bassist Steve Fossen and original Heart drummer Mike Derosier. The concert begins at 5 p.m. July 24 on the winery’s lawn, 4115 N.E. 259th St., Ridgefield. 5. Step back to the 1940s

Living History Group Northwest will present a World War II Living History re-enactment. The public can interact with re-enactors portraying members of the 113th Cavalry, the Eighth Infantry Division’s Battalion Aid Station, U.S. Army Air Corps, as well as the women who worked for the war effort. The encampment will include period weaponry, Army vehicles, a M3 Stuart light tank and a BT-13 advanced training airplane. The encampment will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 23 west of the Pearson Air Museum, 1115 E. Fifth St. Vancouver, near the park’s Spruce Mill Trail. The event is free. go.usa.gov/xcj2B
