1. Camas shines
Camas Days brings out all kinds of community pride this weekend. Taking a bit of inspiration from “Grease” with this year’s theme, “Summer Days and Nights,” downtown Camas will transform Northeast Fourth Avenue and adjacent streets into venues for arts and crafts, live music, food vendors and children’s activities from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. July 22 and July 23. The microbrew street, “A Toast of Camas,” will be open 5 to 11 p.m. both days for those 21 and older, featuring live music by the Wise Guys and Beth Willis Band, with $5 for entry.
There will be two parades, with the Kids Parade taking place at noon July 22, and the Grand Parade starting at 11 a.m. July 23, followed by the bathtub races at 1 p.m. July 23. There will also be the annual ducky derby raffle held by the Camas-Washougal Rotary, at noon July 24 from the Third Avenue Bridge. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the rotary booth during Camas Days. 360-834-2472, www.cwchamber.com or www.facebook.com/camasdays
