Four teams of students in Washington State University Vancouver’s business assistance program were honored recently for providing outstanding consulting to local businesses.

This team was recognized for outstanding marketing:

Amber Bristow, Antonio Cotero-Martinez, Sean Curry, Jake Morr and Kassi Rebello recommended specific brand wording, structure, pricing and a realistic timeline for Sellberg’s Tavern in Vancouver.

The following three teams were recognized for outstanding growth assessment:

Justin Jenks, Connor Peterson, Caleb Steinborn, Scott Wallace and Kyle Yeung did a business assessment for Drake Striping and Painting, a Vancouver company, and made recommendations for increased efficiency, accounting solutions and branding, some of which were adopted before the semester ended.

Mathias Descombes, Amanda Judisch and Jason Park worked with a Woodland company, Industrial Training International, focusing on recommendations to help the company meet its growth goals.

Marion Bateman, Nathaniel Exum, Tatyana Mosh and John Scheidt assisted Wolff Specialties, an automotive repair business in Vancouver. The students focused on organizational and operational recommendations, created a quote-configuration tool, a forecasting tool and drafted an employee handbook.
