Walla Walla – A man affiliated with a local Walla Walla gang has been sentenced to over 29 years in prison for killing one man and wounding another in a shooting outside a tavern last year.

The Walla Walla Union-Bulletin reported Superior Court Judge John Lohrmann sentenced Roberto Arroyo, 26, on Monday.

Prosecutors say Arroyo fatally shot Juan Pedro Martinez and injured Andrew Solis, who had previous ties to a gang, on Oct. 24.

Arroyo pleaded guilty to murder and assault in March as part of a plea deal. The sentence includes three years in prison for a firearm enhancement.
