Letter: Reliable infrastructure is a priority

By George Gadbury, Vancouver

After reading the perfunctory remarks by the Clark County council District 3 and 4 candidates in the June 12 story “Personalities dominate county council races,” it’s apparent that we could be faced with the same old gridlocked issues about Clark County growth. In a nutshell, you cannot have responsible growth without reliable infrastructure.

Simply observe our neighbor to the south, Los Angeles County. After reaching gridlock Armageddon, they are frantically rebuilding their infrastructure, after the fact.

The dream of almost every American is to make money, or at least have the opportunity. But it would also be nice to travel from point A to point B without road rage simmering between the lanes.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
