Vancouver native Jordan Chatman is transferring to Boston College to continue his college basketball career.

A 2012 Union High graduate, Chatman will have three years of eligibility at Boston College. He played last season for Brigham Young as a redshirt freshman, averaging 10 minutes and 2.6 points per game. In April — after only two years at the Provo, Utah, university — Chatman graduated with a degree in Asian Studies. He completed a two-year Mormon mission in Taipei before enrolling at BYU.

On June 9, BYU announced Chatman’s intention to transfer. On Tuesday his father, Jeff Chatman, posted on Instagram that Jordan had chosen Boston College over 10 other schools including Portland State.

Jordan Chatman was the Washington State Boys Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior in 2012, when he helped Union finish third at the Class 4A state tournament.
