LYMAN — The 76-year-old woman whose death is being investigated as a homicide north of Seattle has been identified by authorities.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports Margie E. Conard was found deceased in her home in Lyman on June 23 after someone had requested a check on her welfare.

An autopsy done Monday led authorities to start a homicide investigation. The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office says they have identified a person of interest and authorities don’t perceive an ongoing threat to the community.
