AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR AWARD

The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce named John Cozzi Jr. its ambassador of the year. Cozzi was selected by his peers, based on attendance, positive attitude, and a willingness to help. He said his favorite part about being an ambassador is assisting and mentoring new business owners around traps and unexpected situations that may arise with a new business.

Cozzi is the president/CEO of Tailored Logistics, and a mentor in Washington State University’s Carson College of Business.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE CREDENTIAL

Megan Miller of Vancouver was awarded a national Child Development Associate Credential by the Council of Professional Recognition in Washington, D.C., in recognition of her outstanding work with young children.

PATIENTS’ CHOICE AWARD

Dr. Allen Gabriel, a plastic surgeon with PeaceHealth Medical Group, was named a patients’ choice 5-year honoree by the physician education service vitals.com. The award, based on patient voting, is presented only to doctors whose ratings have reflected excellence in care for five consecutive years, and it is limited to 1 percent of all U.S. physicians.

Dr. Gabriel specializes in body contouring, breast augmentation, and breast reconstruction. He works closely with the PeaceHealth Southwest Kearney Breast Center, and collaborates with cancer surgeons to provide integrated breast reconstruction care for patients.

WHITE HOUSE INTERNSHIP

Nicholas Gesualdo of Vancouver has been accepted to the White House Internship Program for the spring 2016 session.
