PORTLAND — Oregon regulators have approved tax breaks for Internet providers who make investments in affordable, high-speed broadband access.
The Oregonian reports that on Tuesday the Oregon Public Utility Commission confirmed that prospective services from Comcast, Frontier Communications and Google Fiber are eligible for the tax breaks. The state Department of Revenue must also certify the tax exemption.
