Jane Jacobsen has been appointed to the Clark College Board of Trustees by Gov. Jay Inslee. Her term began Feb. 23 and ends Sept. 30, 2019.

Jacobsen was the founding executive director of the Confluence Project, now known as Confluence. She served at the helm of the organization for 12 years.

Jacobsen fills the vacancy left by Mike Ciraulo, who was with Clark County Fire & Rescue for 22 years, but was hired in September as chief of the Pendleton (Ore.) Fire Department.

Jacobsen joins other trustees Vancouver City Councilor Jack Burkman; Royce Pollard, who served as mayor of Vancouver for 14 years; Jada Rupley, administrator consultant and former educator, and Rekah Strong, chief of operations and equity at United Way of the Columbia-Willamette in Portland.
