Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., says the American people should have a say on the Supreme Court appointee by waiting for the next election. Since McConnell removes President Obama’s constitutional instruction to offer a replacement for Justice Antonin Scalia, this action puts the whole Congress in jeopardy. This procedure would then allow 34 senators up for re-election this year no right to take any more votes, nor all 435 members of the House of Representatives. All are up for re-election so have no say on any more issues until the new Congress and new president take over. Good thinking, Mitch.
