Letter: Disrupting free speech is a misstep

Bernie Sanders’ brown shirts — Chicago style. The Democratic Party’s example of free speech is a wonderful example of how to spread the wealth. This nonsense will produce more votes for Donald Trump.

Unintended consequences, good luck to the left, the crowds are shouting we won we won, not knowing that they have produced more votes for Trump. Not allowing free speech has not ever been a successful strategy.

The canards that the Democrats use to demonize Republicans about voting rights is beyond belief but successful with the poorly informed. The poorly informed are the majority of the so-called educated class, and the under-educated. Now that cannabis is considered safe I will assume that this will help improve their distorted and narrowed view.

The young people in the recent crowd at the Chicago Pavilion are probably not involved in voter registration. I know that assumptions are not safe to make but I do not have to assume that they do not want free speech.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
